Pulilan, Bulacan – A total of 204 Pulileños lined up for free healthcare assistance conducted by the Municipal Health Workers of Pulilan in collaboration with PhilHealth, October 18, Friday. This is in line with Mayor Vicente Esguerra’s thrust of having a healthy community.
The second batch among several scheduled medical mission was held at the Rural Health Unit 2 (RHU2), at the back of Pulilan Public Market, with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) and PhilHealth beneficiaries from Brgy. Sto Cristo and Brgy. Taal, as foremost clientele groups.
These efforts of the Municipal Government of Pulilan aim to encourage the people to have their regular consultation to assure that they are in a good health condition.
On the other hand, the beneficiaries strongly believe that it is a great help for them in such a way that they will no longer use their money in consulting a specialist and purchasing medicines.
“This medical mission is a great help for poor citizens like me,†said Sosima, 59, resident of Brgy. Sto. Cristo.
“Instead of paying a physician and buying medicines, I can spend my money to buy household necessities with the help of this program,†said Cristeta, 45, resident of Brgy. Taal.
Meanwhile, the third batch of this medical mission is scheduled on October 25, Friday, at the RHU2, and intended, this time, for the residents of Brgy. Cut-cot and Brgy. Longos. (PAIO,SJAFlores)
